Kid Friendly Friday

I was so excited when I found out that our local library was doing a winter reading program. I don't know how many of you participate in activities that your Library hosts, but one of the things I love most about it is that they think of ALL ages. Yes 0+. When we participated in the summer reading program I was shocked at the great prizes we received. Things like, Local restaurant coupons and local attraction passes. We were also entered into a drawing to win bigger prizes. All of the prizes vary with age and are age appropriate. I have done some research and it appears that libraries across the country are hosting this winter program called "Chill Out And Read." It is one of the first Winter Reading programs. Best of all, "It's Free." So head on down to your local library and sign up. While you are there ask them what other great things they are doing. Ours has story times, Crafts,Plays, Movies and Lot's of other fun events.

This is a good reminder! I always forget the really fun free stuff around.

we love our library. they always have tons of reading incentive programs as well as free/reduced price passes to local things like the Art Museum, Kids Science Center, etc. It's awesome and you get two family passes a month! :)
