Dishes and laundry are never ending chores. Just when you think you’ve finished the chore, someone eats a bowl of cereal or changes their clothes. I hate doing dishes. Now that we are eating at home they never seem to go away. A friend of mine gave me this tip. "To help keep up with the dishes, try this tip. As soon as the dishwasher is done washing the dishes, unload the dishes and put them away." REALY!! Seeing as she is a reader of this blog I feel I need to say, "I do love you friend." I'm not sure if she was being sarcastic or what. At any rate what do you do to keep those dishes out of your sinks? Or are you like me and they always seem to be there?

I love those tips, but then what do you do when you DO NOT have a dishwasher? I get it if you have a dishwasher there really is no reason to have a sink full of dirty dishes, but there are some of us that don't have a dishwasher.
haha that's why I thought she must be being sarcastic with her tip. We don't have one either. That's not entierly true. We do have one, but it doesn't work.
Yea I don't have a dishwasher either. Truthfully, Angela, what has helped me to stay on top of dishes is to do them every night before I go to bed. Usually Lukas is in bed by 7pm so that gives me time to unwind, and then around 9pm I'll do the dishes. I wake up and walk out into a kitchen that is clean, and that is the best way for me to start my day... it makes me feel soooo good to not have dirty dishes in the sink when I wake up. The reward is what motivates me. Hope you figure out what works best for you... I'm so glad you guys are cooking/eating in more often. Saves so much $ and it's much healthier.
We are dishwasher-less, too. I wash dishes twice a day. It's never ending, but to be honest I prefer to wash by hand - I just feel like things get cleaner that way!
We have a dishwasher, but I hand wash often as well because I don't put plastic in the dishwasher, or pans and I'm baking all the time, so I'm always washing dishes. I HATE when people put dishes in the sink! I don't allow it! I would rather a pile next to the sink but not in it. Otherwise how do you use your sink for other things in between washings? AHHHH! I do dishes after every meal. It's tedious, but I use that time to pray. :) Also, having dishes that you really like, helps to keep them washed up too. I love all my little baby dishes and my coffee mugs, brings me joy to clean them! But I really don't like cleaning containers...still it MUST be done!
