Mark 9:21-24 (New King James Version)
21 So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?”
And he said, “From childhood. 22 And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe,[a] all things are possible to him who believes.”
24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
How many times have we come to God as a last resort with the attitude of, "If you can"? I know I have more than once. It's hard to admit that we would limit God but, more times than not we put him in a box. Christ is able, and when we are doubting we need to pray that He would help our unbelief.
If we begin to ask God to help our unbelief we will begin to believe fully and chains will begin to fall from our lives and our families lives.
