One year ago today, Hailey had her first surgery. The surgery that would change our lives. Just 6 days after this surgery Hailey developed Meningitis and we came close to losing her several times. This surgery resulted in 5 more. The unthinkable became reality. The memories of our baby laying there helpless are still so vivid in my mind.
Today I was looking at my beautiful baby girl standing in front of me, talking, breathing, smiling. She is so beautiful. God spared her for a reason, and she has taught me so much about living in this short year. I am so thankful that God gave her to me, and spared her.
“Hailey, I love you!”
