KFF- Jellyfish in a Bottle

KFFButton

Welcome to Kid Friendly Friday where I share anything that other parents might find interesting or useful.

This week I made a Jellyfish in a bottle, and sat it on the table for the kids to look at at dinner time.

        Items Needed:

  • 1 Soda Bottle
  • 1 Plastic Grocery Bag
  • Water
  • Food Coloring (optional)

Instructions:

  • Wash out, and fill your soda bottle almost to the top with water. Add food coloring to change the color of the water.
  • Cut a plastic bag in half along the seams.
  • Using one half of the bag, cut of a long strip to use to tie up the head.
  • Roll the rest of that half or your bag into a ball (to your desired size) and place in the middle of the other half of the sack.
  • Pull the sack  around the ball forming the head, and use the long strip to tie it tightly. (cut of ends of your tie)
  • Rip or cut up the ends of the bag that are hanging down until you reach your desired look
  • Stuff the sack into the top of the bottle and fill the bottle the rest of the way to the top. Replace cap.
  • Have fun!
