Mighty Dollar is a store where I live that is just like the Dollar Tree only better. I call it a home schoolers paradise. I used to go in there all the time when Christopher was in speech Therapy because they had all types of resources for only $1. Now I go in there looking for school stuff.
I recently found these tubes filled animals. Each tube has a different theme of animals like, Ocean or Jungle. You may have seen these at Target or The Parent Teacher Store. I was excited to get them for $1 so I bought each theme. Theses have proven to be a great asset to my pre-school because I can use them in many different ways. I have used them for sorting, counting, teaching concepts like In or Out, Big and Little, Biggest, Smallest. I have also had theme days like Dinosaur day where we learned about different Dinosaurs. I made cupcakes and used the Dinosaurs as toppers then as we ate them we named the different Dino's. I can also put the animals in rice for my child to dig in and find them. They have been a lot of fun. My three year old also likes to play with them at the table. I consider these great finds because anyone knows that if you can find something for $1 that has that many uses and can keep a three year old entertained for more than 10 minutes is priceless.
Before I go I thought I would share a funny story with you. The other morning my Three year old told me that he did not feel good. I asked him what was wrong and he said, "My nuggets hurt". He was talking about is tummy.
