The brother wars have officially begun. Up till now my three year old has been a really good sport about the whole new baby thing. Well, Sammy is now 6 months old and crawling. He is into everything. Yesterday I got a wild hair and decided to clean out Christopher and Sammy's room. This is a project that usually ends up looking worse than when I started Haha! Seeing as how Sammy is so young I brought him in the room with me so that I could keep an eye on him. Of course he was crawling around the room touching and chewing on things. And one point Christopher decided he would join us in the room. That's when the wars started. Christopher was running around the room taking everything Sammy touched and putting it on his bed because he did not want Sammy to have them. I thought it was fairly amusing so I did not say anything. Well, Sammy crawled over to the bed and began to take things off of it. Christopher had a cow. He began yelling (he does not hear well so everything he says is yelling) "No Baby Sammy, you are a BABY! You drink out of a BABY bottle and eat BABY food! You play with BABY toys and sleep in a crib. YOU ARE A BABY!!!! Leave my big boy stuff alone!" Of course I has a talk with Christopher but not until after I got done laughing enough to put together a decent sentence.
I thought I had gotten through to Christopher but when the house was quiet I knew that meant trouble so I went to look for him. I found him locked in Sammy's swing. I asked him why he was in there and he said, "He touched my things and I wanted him to know how it felt so I'm touching his." What made it funny was that Sammy was laughing out loud the whole time. The little stinker.
