Sippy Cups, Sippy cups and more sippy cups!

I want to start off by saying that I hate sippy cups. They take up so much room in my cabinets and there are always tons of pieces to wash. (we all know how I feel about washing dishes) Well we are now in the sippy cup stage with Sammy. We have tried several different kids and have only found a few that we like. He prefers drinking from a straw. It's really cute.

When Christopher had just turned 2 he was in speech therapy because he could not talk. I was told that he needed to be drinking out of a regular cup. It was funny how we never had any battles over the Paci, but the sippy cup was a HUGE deal. Once we conquered that battle we never looked back. And I finally had room in my cabinets for regular cups.

Now that My little Monkey is 3 a new speech problem has presented. He replaces several letter's with the "W" sound like; Love=Wuv, Christopher+Cwistopher, Lion=wion Bed=wed etc. he is no longer receiving speech therapy but I did receive advice from a speech pathologist. This person gave me several tips one was that my Monkey should always drink out of a straw. This is fin with Him and has not been a problem.

Tonight I went to target to get a new sippy for Sammy and Christopher was so upset. He began screaming and crying. His heart was broken. He did not understand why Sammy could have a Sippy but he couldn't. So I think I have come up with a compromise

It has a straw and they come decorated many different ways. is this to Babyish for a three year old?

Let that boy have his sippy cup! I even enjoy a good sippy cup and I'm... well my age is not important. Let's just say.. even 'adults' enjoy a nice sippy cup!
