Tot School Week 1

Tot School
Week 1 (12 Months)

I am so excited that Sammy is finally the right age for Tot School. I have seen so many great ideas by looking through other participants blog. Now it's our turn to join in.

This week was a pretty busy week for us but, I did manage to snap a few pics.

I attempted to have Sammy watch, "Your Baby Can Read" with Christopher. He was not interested in this at all. I tried several times this week but he is just not a TV watcher. In hindsight this is a good thing. He doesn't need to be in front of the T.V. anyway.

Christopher picked out a bunch of board books from the library and Sammy loved flipping through the pages. (He also liked playing the, I throw the book on the ground, you pick it up game) This was the first week that I was able to get him to sit and listen to me read to him.

Sammy loves playing with his Melissa and Doug activity center. When he wasn't destroying the school room, trying to get in the work boxes, or pitching a fit because I was not allowing him to tear everything up he was playing with this.

He learned how to stick things to the bathtub wall, and was very proud of his accomplishment.

Sammy was put on a nap schedule this week. (I know I'm a slacker) This went well.

Sammy turned 1 on Friday! We had a blast that day. We took the little guy to Logan's for a birthday lunch.

He got a Leap Frog Learn and Groove Table for his birthday but he liked the box better.

Sammy spent hours playing with this balloon. I think it is his favorite toy.

In addition to these activities we taught Sammy to roll a ball back and forth.

Happy 1st Birthday Sammy! My Xander turned 1 on the 8th. By far the best thing about his birthday was the balloons, he spent days playing with them. Cruising the living room, holding on to furniture with one hand and the balloons in the other. Looking forward to see what you and Sammy are doing in Tot School.

How exciting to start Tot School! We love it :). Sticking the toys to the bathtub wall is so cute. I've not heard of the Melissa & Doug activity table. I will look for it. Happy Birthday to your little guy!

It is useful to try everything in practice anyway and I like that here it's always possible to find something new. :)
