Warning: This is an update for those who care to know what is going on with us outside of homeschooling, and for family members.
Things with Christopher's allergies are going so, so. We have almost completely gotten his Asthma under control. We have not had to use a breathing treatment this whole winter. He is sick now but that's because we had to go off of his Allergy meds to get him tested for food allergies. We went for that last week and discovered that the reactions he is having are being caused by Corn, and Tomatoes. That's where the challenge has come in. I am no cook and would never claim to be. I have always dreamed of being one of "those" women but have never succeeded. Now I am being forced. We have had ups and downs with that but I'm learning and I will get all of his allergies under control soon. It has been a challenge to find corn free products. I can't wait for passover because they start selling Kosher for Passover products, and I plan to stock up. Christopher has done great with his glasses. I am so proud of him!
Hailey turned Seven on the fifth. She had a great Birthday and party. We went to Vanderbilt to see a Neurologist. That was a disaster (click here to read the whole story). The Dr. we saw knew nothing about her condition so we are back at square one. I have been doing a lot of independent research and have found out many of the needed steps I am to take. We are in the process of getting a referral to a Pediatric Neurosurgeon. Hailey's eyes are not getting much better. We are still patching full time. When we move I plan to find an eye Dr. that is better equipped to treat her. Though we have hit a bump in the road with Hailey's schooling, She is doing GREAT! She is actually ahead in most subjects. She continues to amaze me with her reading. Now we will take a break to do "Fun school" and hopefully things will be back to normal when we return.
Chris is almost done with school. He graduated in May. He has had to work third shift as well as do school full time and be a husband and Father full time. This schedule has difficult at times but the end result will be well worth it.
Me, well, I'm hanging on by a thread. You know what they say, "When it rains it pours!" I'm doing my best to stay positive. I'm going to a weekly bible study and that has really helped. It gets lonely being away from family. God is good those and for every negative thing going on right now there have been two or three positives. I'm so glad we made the decision to home school. I can't imagine how things would be without Hailey at home. I'm ready to move, and September couldn't come soon enough for me.
That's it in a nut shell. Over all everyone is Happy and that's all that matters.

Sorry to hear about Christopher's allergies and Hailey's eyes... sounds like you're on top of it though! And, you'll get to bone up on those cooking skills, too. I LOVE to cook and I consider cooking to be an incredible stress reliever. Who knows, maybe you'll end up feeling the same way and you'll have come up with amazing recipes!!
You're in my prayers!

Oh PS: Perhaps I'm the only one, but I can't read your text with your new background. I had to highlight the text in order to read this post! :)
