Pre-School Corner

Hands on Learning

As you all know we went on vacation this past week. One cool thing about homeschooling is that you can make all sorts of fun things educational. That's what we did.

Christopher loved that the birds would Mock him. The louder he got, the louder they got.

We gave them each a quarter to throw into the wishing well. They did and then realized that meant they had no quarter. they spent some time trying to get their quarters back. It was a great balancing lesson for Christopher.

He enjoyed feeding and petting the goats. Here is a picture of how that activity ended. Notice how they surrounded him. Then notice that he is being head butted. I snapped this before I had to rescue him. I'm not sure if he will ever be willing to do that again.

He tried to pet a sting ray, but his arms were to short.

He loved locating the butterflies on his chart.

He loved playing on this choo choo. They actually had coal that the kids used with one of the activities.

This was a great activity in teaching him about the weight system.

He stayed at this water station for a while exploring the different ways to maneuver water.

Those are just a few highlights from our trip and that was Pre-School last week.
