Completing Him Challenge

You may remember at the beginning of the summer when I was excited to participate in a marriage challenge from, Women Living Well. The situation with my daughter kept me from focusing on the challenge. I will be starting this challenge from the beginning, and though I will be weeks behind the other women participating, I know I will gain from starting from the beginning, instead of skipping ahead.

Challenge #1; Our Dating Story

Proverbs 5:18b&19 tells husbands "May you rejoice in the wife of your youth. A loving doe, a graceful deer - may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be captivated by her love."

I first met Chris at a Pro-Life banquet we were both serving at. We we both invited to serve there by a mutual friend. We later found out it was her goal for us to meet. She made sure that He and I were always sitting next to each other, and that we had plenty to talk about. We hit it off immediately, and I knew we would be great friends.

The banquet was in November, and it was December before we saw each other again. Our friend invited us to a Christmas party. I ended up riding with Chris to the party, and we talked for hours. It was then that we decided to start pursuing a relationship.

I was working nights at the Airport, and Chris would come see me almost every night. Each night was filled with conversation, laughter, and a growing love for one another.

The first of January Chris purposed. Only three weeks after we had begun our relationship. We spent 6 wonderful months getting to know each other, and planning our big day.

Chris captivated me from the first day I saw him, and I know I captivated him. Our time dating was short, but will always be remembered fondly. I am so grateful to God for bringing such a wonderful man into my life.
