-First I took three paper plates, and cut out the correct colored construction paper and glued them to the plates. I them drew on the faces.
-Each child has a paper clip that they can move to the color that they are on.
After I got it all set up, I sat down with the kids and created a set of basic rules that we needed to work on. I wrote them on construction paper and hung them up near the faces.
I split the day in half so that the children get to chances to a prize from the prize bag, or earn a privilege. We start over after nap, or around 1:00 on days that there is no nap.
The kids have loved the visual cues, as well as the positive reinforcement. They also love being able to show people what color they are on.
