I did not plan on starting school this past week, however the kids asked me if we could. Yep, you heard me! They asked! Who was I to keep them from enjoying a few days of school?
I was truly surprised that we accomplished so much. We only had 3 days to do school before our vacation. Both Hailey and Christopher did so well. Here’s an overview of what each child did.
Hailey LOVED teaching textbooks, and asked to do more lessons then I had set for her. She memorized “The Goops” poem from her first language lessons. Spelling, History, Science, Bible, Reading, and she completed a lesson from Lessons in Responsibility. Haley’s favorite thing was her lesson in responsibility where she created this awesome dish for snack. (post to come)
Christopher worked on word families, “at”, and, “ut”. He successfully read this sentence, “The Cat had a Hat”. He worked on writing his name. He also did History, Phonics, Reading, Bible, Science, and he attempted to memorize Hailey’s poem. Oh yeah and he went to Taekwondo, and did AMAZING!
Sammy started out sitting at the table with us and working on his letter of the week stuff. That was short lived. So, he spent his time playing the Mobi Go, helping mommy with the laundry, helping to pack, and just being cute!
It was a great week. We even had a vacation!
