Welcome to Kid Friendly Friday where I share anything that other parents might find interesting or useful.
A while back I saw these chalk board books, and immediately the wheels started turning. I had to have one. I had a busy bag swap coming up, so I went to the thrift store and picked up a few board books, and the fun is history.
Here’s what I did:
- Use Sandpaper on each page. The paint sticks better if the glossy coat has been scratched.
- Paint each page with chalk board paint. It works best with at least 2 coats of paint.
- Let dry for 24 hours before priming your pages.
- Prime pages by coloring each page entirely using the side of your chalk.
- Clean of chalk, and give the book and chalk to your child.
