For a lot of people summer break is a welcome change. For us it starts out well, and then by the time July gets here, the kids are begging to start school. This past year I decided we would do year round school. I planned breaks accordingly, and we were right on schedule to take most of this month off, and then start back in the middle of July. I’ve been gathering curriculum, and making a plan, and setting up the school room in our new home.
Everything was right on track. Until this week. We had VBS. The kids had fun, but the lack of structure was not working for them, I joked that if they couldn’t get it together, then we were going to start school back next week. Much to my surprise, the kids thought that was a grand idea. They were all for starting back, and have been super excited about it. So I guess we will be starting school this next week. I will do a light schedule, and just go from there.
